South Kerry Ploughing Championships and Harvest Show

This Sunday the Jules.Co team will be at the South Kerry Ploughing Championships and Harvest Show.
this superb event has grown over the last 2 years into a huge event attracting thousands to Flemings Farm in Fossa, and this year it looks like it will surpass them even more with nigh on 200 stands, live music, exhibitions, 10 different Caterers, and a ton more.

With over €60,000 generated for good causes in the past two years, the South Kerry Ploughing Championships and Harvest Show is a major source of fundraising for local charities and next Sunday’s big event at Fleming’s Farm in Fossa will continue that great work. The four beneficiaries this year will be the Kerry branch of the Irish Kidney Association, Down Syndrome Kerry, the Irish Pilgrimage Trust and the Kerry Cancer Support Group’s Kerry-Cork Health Link Bus and representatives of all four charities will be in attendance on the day to host a number of novel promotions and sideshows.

KERRY IKA TO GIVE AWAY A VINTAGE MOTOR

At the South Kerry Ploughing Championships and Harvest Show on Sunday the Kerry branch of the Irish Kidney Association will be running a fabulous raffle with a first prize of a stunning vintage 1948 Ford Anglia Tombstone up for grabs and a runner-up prize of a helicopter ride over the Lakes of Killarney.
The car to be raffled is pictured here with guest of honour centenarian Michael O’Connor and officers of the Kerry branch of the Irish Kidney Association, Connie and Karen Brosnan.
Tickets are €10 a line and all proceeds will go to the charity and its holiday support centres.
The draw will take place at the South Kerry Ploughing Championships awards night on October 8.
The Kerry branch of the Irish Kidney Association will also display a full-size dialysis machine on the day and volunteers will be distributing organ donor cards to interested members of the public.
Patient support is the prime function of the association and, in addition to organ donor awareness, the members run a holiday/respite centre in Tralee for patients countrywide as well as providing aid for hardship cases to cover costs such as electricity, telephone and travel.
It’s a great cause – please support them on Sunday.
